These truly are the best ever banana pancakes! This is one of my favorite and most frequently used breakfast recipes! It is so easy and made with pure and simple ingredients.
I substitute bananas for any oils or sugar that other pancakes may have (applesauce works great too!). It’s also a great way to use overripe bananas. We make these pancakes weekly!

Best Ever Banana Pancakes
Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour
- 3 t. baking powder
- 1 t. salt
- 2 or 3 bananas, mashed (3 is better 🙂 )
- 2 eggs
- approximately 2 cups milk, depending on how thick you like the batter. I like it a little on the thin side.
- 2 t. vanilla
- butter for serving
- pure maple syrup for serving
Directions:
- Turn on Jack Johnson’s song, “Banana Pancakes.” Sing loudly while you whisk together dry ingredients.
- Add vanilla and eggs to the mashed banana.
- Make a well in middle of dry ingredients. Pour egg and banana mixture into the well. Then slowly add milk and stir it all together. Keep adding milk until desired consistency is reached.
- Heat up your griddle on med. heat. Melt a little butter then pour batter on hot griddle. Serve with warmed pure maple syrup.
Enjoy!!
