This syrup is great in lattes, cocktails or in homemade cinnamon whipped cream.
Favorite uses of this yummy syrup include Homemade Fireball and Red Hot Martinis.
The dried chile peppers give it a red-hot taste, which I love. Just use one if you want just a hint of fire.

Ingredients:
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 6 cinnamon sticks (buy in bulk at Costco to save $)
- 1 or 2 dried Chiles de Arbol (found in the produce section of your grocery store, near the herbs)
Directions:
- Bring all ingredients to a boil over med. heat in a small saucepan, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves.
- Turn heat to low and let simmer for about 10-15 min.
- Let cool. Remove cinnamon sticks and peppers.
