Just like all simple syrups, this is easy to make. And the small amount of effort is worth the reward of having the best handcrafted cocktails, kid drinks and other homemade treats.
As always, I believe using real sugar is much better than buying a commercial mix that has corn syrups and preservatives.
I like using it in my Mistletoe Mojito. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1- 8oz bag fresh cranberries
2-3 cinnamon sticks (optional)
Directions:
- In a med. saucepan, bring water and sugar to a boil over med. heat. Turn heat to med-low and let simmer for a couple minutes or until sugar is dissolved.
- Add cranberries and cinnamon and let simmer about 5 min. Remove from heat.
- Strain liquid into a glass jar and refrigerate for up to 1 month.
